Recently we caught up with the lovely guys from Insert Coin Clothing at the London MCM Expo last month!

Check out our interview with IC’s Dan Long!

Hi Dan! So how did the London MCM Expo go for you guys this weekend? Did you get a lot of attention from gamers?

Hello! We had a great time at MCM - it’s a fantastic show and we always get a great reception. We met loads of amazing gamers and geeks as always - it was so much fun.

So how did Insert Coin start and how far do you feel the company has come since the beginning?

It all started for us when we were disappointed with the terrible gaming tees that were out there. They were so bad and we knew we could do better, so that’s how it all started. In terms of how the company has grown, it’s been pretty crazy - we’ve gone from notthing to a massive following in the industry. It’s been overwhelming how people have responded to what we do.

How does the design process work? Do you have a set idea in your head and work on that, or are there quite a few and you pick the best?

We tend to work together as a creative team, talk about what we love about a game and how we could work that into a finished design. We always create several designs and then work on them until we’re happy - then we work with the game company’s, make sure they’re happy, and then release the designs as sneak peeks to our community.

When can we expect to see the awesome new Devil May Cry and SEGA: Reloaded ranges?

We’re just waiting on the final sign-off now, and then it’ll be go-go-go! We’re looking for them to go live in late June, early July.

Any other games you want to, or will be working on in the future?

Oh there are plenty more designs in the pipeline - including our Resident Evil 6 range and a LOT of new secret projects… watch facebook.com/insertcoinclothing and twitter.com/insertcointees for all the latest news!

Thanks a lot for your time! We love your stuff, keep up the awesome work!!

Thanks for the great questions - hope you enjoyed MCM too!
